Omar Beer

Omar has worked for the past 16 years at Goldman, Sachs & Co. He is currently global co-head of Investment Banking Division Compliance and oversees Global Investment Research (GIR) Compliance and the Control Room. He serves on the Firmwide Capital Committee and the Compliance Division Operating Committee. Previously, Omar worked as an associate in litigation at both Latham & Watkins and at Hafetz & Necheles, a criminal defense firm. Omar earned a JD from The University of Chicago Law School in 2000 and an AB from Harvard College in 1993. He also served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Mali, West Africa, from 1994 to 1996.
