Honoring Juneteenth

Today, President Biden signed a law declaring Juneteenth a Federal Holiday. As we all work to decide how to reflect upon and honor the events that led to this - From the slaves in Galveston who were finally set free on June 19th, 2.5 years after the abolition of slavery, to the protests and national reckoning of the past 12 months - we wanted to share some resources compiled by our members to help guide your day of remembrance.

Special thanks to Irene Sanchez of Just Cause and Maryann Tharappel of Catholic Charities Community Services for these resources.
