USCIS: Uniting for Ukraine Program

On 4/21/2022 the Department of Homeland Security announced the “Uniting for Ukraine” program, fulfilling President Biden’s commitment to welcome Ukrainians fleeing Russia’s invasion.

USCIS has posted the guidelines for the program on its website at https://www.uscis.gov/humanitarian/uniting-for-ukraine. See also Federal Register Notice # 87 FR 25040

which was posted today, located at the website https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2022/04/27/2022-09087/implementation-of-the-uniting-for-ukraine-parole-process.

It should be noted that with the advent of “Uniting for Ukraine,” Ukrainian arrivals at the border after 4/25/2022 will be required to meet the “Uniting for Ukraine”

guidelines for parole into the United States. Ukrainians who present at U.S. land ports of entry without a valid visa or without pre-authorization to travel to the United States through

Uniting for Ukraine may be denied entry and referred to apply through this process.
