Nneka Okpara
Nneka received her J.D. from Hofstra Law School 2017. Prior to working, Nneka interned in Colombia for an NGO committed to raising awareness and stopping the practice of human and labor trafficking. Nneka is currently an Asylum Attorney at Immigration Law and Justice New York. Nneka represents clients before immigration court and USCIS in their asylum cases as well as a range of other immigration matters involving SIJS, T/U visas, adjustment of status, naturalization, and other issues that may arise.
As a daughter of two African immigrants, Nneka grew up surrounded by immigrant communities. Nneka is committed to bringing awareness to the challenges immigrants face as she believes that everyone deserves to live a life full of dignity, opportunity, and peace, no matter the race, religion, immigration status. In her free time, Nneka loves to explore NYC and work on her photography.
